Jordan Carrier
BS-ISE Class of 2010
I grew up in Gorham, New Hampshire and went to Gorham High School. What I like about Maine is the scenery.  What I like about the University of Maine is that it is huge.  The freshman class is the size of half my town back home. What I like about Information Systems Engineering is working on computers and networking. My favorite subject is Computer Networking. What I like to do in my spare time is hang out with friends. I have three siblings. What I would like to do for a career is Network Management.

Mike Hennessey
BS-ISE Class of 2009
I grew up in Harpswell, Maine. I graduated from Mount Ararat High School where I played Soccer, and ran Indoor/Outdoor Track. I like the University of Maine because people are close and there’s always something to do. I like Information Systems Engineering because I would like to have a future career in the IS field, more specifically, server administration. I don’t really have a favorite subject but I’m better in the Math/Science fields. In my spare time I like to play/listen to music.

Justin Kandel

I grew up in Bangor, Maine. I graduated from Bangor High School. What I like about Maine is how it is remote but you can still have access to metropolitan areas.  What I like about the University of Maine is that it is not a huge university but it has good programs. What I like about Information Systems Engineering is that it is computer based, and not all engineering. My favorite subject is programming. What I like to do in my spare time is play guitar. I have one older sister who went to the University of Maine. I am still undecided on what I would like to do for a career.

Carl Swanson

I grew up in Machias, Maine, and went to the Maine School of Science and Math.  I love Maine due to its neighborly feel.  UMaine is a great living and working environment, so I'm very excited here.  I like Information Systems Engineering because of its practical take on a technological field.  In my spare time I play Guitar Hero, the only worthwhile video game.  I have an older brother who lives in India.  I don’t have a specific career in mind as of yet.

I was born in Camden, Maine. I graduated from Camden Hills Regional High School. What I like about Maine is the cool summers and cold winters.  What I like about the University of Maine is the college community interaction. What I like about Information Systems Engineering is the diverse career options. My favorite subject is Math. What I like to do in my spare time is robotics, hiking, biking, and sailing. I have one younger brother. What I would like to do for a career is something that involves math, science and new technology.
